Albert B. Murphy, III
An astute and experienced financial services marketing professional, Albert B. Murphy is currently Senior Vice President, Head of the Private Bank at the Bryn Mawr Trust Company. His distinguished career in financial services has been built on expertise in asset management, business strategy, and financial services product marketing. Al brings a broad perspective on the financial services industry and a sight-line to both consumer and corporate marketing strategy.
Prior to joining BMTC, Al was a Principal and Partner at PMG Advisors, LLC, an independent registered investment advisor based in Philadelphia. While at PMGA, Al was responsible for all sales and marketing activities, as well as development and implementation of business strategy for the organization. (The firm, which now has over a billion dollars under management, has since been acquired by Investec. Group, LLC, a global financial services firm based in South Africa.)
Prior to joining PMGA, he was Managing Director and Member of the Management Committee of RTE Asset Management where he was responsible for marketing, client service, compliance and product development. During Al’s twelve-year tenure with RTE, the firm grew from $500 million to $2.7 billion in managed assets. He began his financial services career at Philadelphia National Bank, where he became a Vice President in the Bank’s Large Corporate Division before shifting his focus to investment banking and asset management.
Al graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Architectural Engineering and received his MBA from the University of Colorado. Mr. Murphy is currently Senior Vice President, Head of the Private Bank at the Bryn Mawr Trust Company. He joined BMTC in May of 2012.
